Incoterms are short codes in your sales contract that say who arranges and pays for each part of the journey, and where the risk passes from seller to buyer. They do not decide ownership or payment terms.
| Term | In short |
|---|---|
| EXW | Buyer arranges almost everything from the seller's premises. |
| FOB | Seller loads the goods on the vessel; buyer pays the sea freight. |
| CIF | Seller pays freight and insurance to the destination port; risk passes when loaded. |
| DAP | Seller delivers to the named place, not unloaded and not cleared for import. |
| DDP | Seller delivers cleared, with duties paid. |
